2022 Upscale Getaways Passover Program in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, Califorina Claimed

This program has so may wonderful qualities. However, the most important aspect for me was the programming. It somehow lent itself to taking care of all age groups. From infants to seniors there were numerous options available every single day including Shabbos. Even if you chose the most minimal of activities you could still have a full day, either relaxing or exciting or a combination. As a senior with more specific requirements I could still fill my time having a truly wonderful Pesach with my family enjoying each other with everything taken care of to the last detail.

My family and I enjoyed our time with the upscale getaway program this past Pesach. The food was Delicious with gorgeous presentation. The speakers were eloquent and covered relevant topics Relating to the Jewish experience. We enjoyed our stay because the program management thoughtfully handled all conveniences relating to yomtov.

The food….! there were always so many options – it was all day and out of this world. My favorite was the constant grilling outside the tea room – and the sushi was some of the best and freshest fish I’ve ever had in any kosher place. The scholars in residence were excellent, I really enjoyed the davening of Yehuda Solomon and the speeches were interesting. There was always a lot to do – things that appealed to my more religious family members and other things that made those less so also comfortable. [there was a pool with separate hours, and a pool with mixed swimming]. One of the best things was how the kids loved the day camp so much, they just had a blast, and really enjoyed themselves. If kids are happy, parents are happy!} I’ve been around – this is the best place I’ve been so far.

Has a great time. Very organized. A nice relaxed vibe. Food everywhere yet we skipped a lot too. Nice spread out resort. We liked picking different pools.

This program was amazing from start to finish. Ben and Dov had every detail covered and it was truly an incredible experience. The kids programs were next level and the food was non stop. Loved every minute of it.

We loved everything about upscale getaways, but especially the daycare program! We heard from numerous different families that they choose to come out to San Diego just because UG is known for their daycare and we couldn’t agree more. Our baby had the time of our life and we were able to relax knowing she was being taken care of by certified professionals. Additionally, the food, service, rooms, entertainment, lectures and staff of the program could not have been better. We will most definitely be returning.

We absolutely loved this program! Location was beautiful, the hotel was super comfy with amazing service. The food was the best pesach food we ever had— they even had paninis!! The program is well run, Ben does a great job… everything was organized, plentiful, and beautiful. Would definitely go back!!

What an amazing program! The food was incredible, constant, varied and good for both adults and kids. The themed dinners were fun. The tea room was also always well stocked and yummy! In addition to all the delectable meats, having freshly juiced drinks every day of chol hamoed was a real treat. And even the waiters and kitchen staff were super sweet and helpful. The speakers did slant heavily to politics with a focus on the Conservative approach, but it seemed that many in the crowd appreciate that. The day camp really did a great job engaging with my kids. It felt a little like a honeymoon, because my wife and I really had some time to do fun things together every day. This program certainly meets the hype. It was amazing.

It was an all round favorite I have been to many high-end programs for Passover. This particular one in the Rancho Bernardo Inn by upscale getaways ,consistently excelled hospitality, attentiveness, quality of the food, availability of the management for assistance, hotel staff, entertainment at the top of my expectations. I look forward to spending many Passover holidays with them,

My family and I have gone on various Passover vacations. The Upscale Getaways program far surpassed any of those programs. The day we arrived we received a warm greeting by the host, Ben, offers of drinks, and a complimentary massage. We knew right then and there that this was no ordinary experience! The speeches by Ben Shapiro, Dennis Prager, and Ami Horowitz were fantastic. I never had a moment to nap on Yom Tov! My children actually enjoyed the camps, which was amazing since my kids don’t always agree to go to any kids program. They were organized beautifully. They had fun going on field trips during Chol Hamoed. I also loved how they had something for everyone…separate swimming in a private pool, adults only pool with mixed swimming, and a kids pool. They really tried to incorporate every age range so no one could complain about anything! The grounds were beautiful overlooking the golf course and the rooms were comfortable and clean. There was a very nice out of town, friendly vibe with the Upscale Getaway Staff and the crowd of people who came. The food was delicious. There were so many choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the Chol Hamoed theme nights were so fun! Each night we went to a new place and experienced the cuisine of each location…Hawaii, Morocco…It was wonderful! We highly recommend going to this program!

We have been enjoying Upscale Getaways in San Diego for many years. The first impressions are always important and the customer service on the phone and by email is impeccable. We attended the first time when a program we had booked cancelled and we had to find another. When we called to book, we were intrigued. When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted by hotel attendants as well as representatives from Upscale. There was water and juice available outside to relieve our thirst from travel. Immediately, check-in went smoothly, our rooms were huge, clean, and more than comfortable with a balcony and chairs for relaxation. Food was available immediately – but not just any food – we had a late luncheon feast. Much to our surprise, food continued to be the most incredible feast each and every meal. There is an afternoon snack bar-b-que feast in case you could possibly be hungry after breakfast, Kiddush, lunch, Tea Room (where there are treats and snacks beyond belief), bar-b-que, and dinner. All food is amazing with lamb chops, steaks, chicken, roasts, slicing bar, sushi, to name a few things. Of course the Kashrut is impeccable. The mix of people is perfect. Everyone is respectful of everyone else. The entertainment and daily activities leave nothing to be desired from games for every age, painting, music, and everything in between. We are well taken care of from morning until night. That includes the various speakers who keep us educated, thinking, and/or amused. We are more than happy with the program and have continued coming back. We know we could never match Upscale Getaways anywhere and won’t even try.

Ben runs a GREAT program. The activities, for kids and adults, are varied, interesting, and wellrun. The food is plentiful, varied, and tasty;. the afternoon BBQs are eagerly anticipated. The weather is 10 on a 10 scale. The staff goes overboard in doing the big and little things for guests; the tea room is reason enough to attend. Pesach like it ought to be.

I don’t usually take the time to review things- life is hectic, but this program is worth taking time out to review. My family and I have been on a few higher end Pesach programs but upscale getaways was able to take the best part of all the programs we have tried and put the best together into one absolutely incredible program- by far better than all others we have been on. Firstly, the people running the program are out front and center at all times making sure everything runs smoothly and insuring a great smooth program. The setting is incredible – the weather is unbeatable and the grounds provide something for everyone and really caters to a diverse crowd including family pool, separate swimming pool and adult pool – that alone demonstrates the inclusive and welcoming nature of this program. The grounds are sprawling and so relaxing! The kids program: all I have to say is that all my kids were counting down the minutes until camp started everyday. From my 6 year old to my 16 year old they all had a great time and met so many new friends from all over!! Just to give an example of how awesome it was- on the first day of chol hamoed my kids came running to lunch with camp T-shirts and said we need to go- I had no idea what they were referring to- well lo and behold 4 huge party busses pull up in front of the hotel and take each of my kids on different trips with camp and my husband and I alone to relax and read by the adult pool with mixed drinks and BBQ! The adult programs: There was constant programs every night of chol hamoed- so many different choices for all different interests- and because of that- nothing was too crowded- and the variety of interests that were catered to was unbelievable- at the same time you could choose from fire and soul acoustic concert with shlomo katz and Yehuda Solomon or an indoor roller skating 80’s night! The only “problem” was that there was not enough time to do everything! Another big difference between this program and previous ones was that I used to think a great program was one where my kids went to camp on yom tov and I got to sleep. On this program my kids went to camp but there were so many interesting lectures for the adults that there was no time for sleep- between Ben Shapiro, Shlomo Katz, Ami Horowitz, Dennis Prager- sleeping felt like a waste of time! Now for Yom Tov- there have been times that we have gone on programs and although it was a physically beautiful setting with kids activities it just did not feel like yuntif- that was not the case on this program. The davening was beautiful, the people who attended the program were so friendly that I found myself shmoozing at the kiddushim with new people everyday. The shiurim were so intersting, And the feeling on the property was that everyone was there to enjoy Yuntif together. To summarize- My entire family enjoyed this program and I felt well fed, intellectually stimulated, spiritually uplifted and super relaxed!! You could not do better!!!

Upscale Getaways redefines what a Pesach program can be. Ben and his team are so diligent that it’s almost scary. There is no detail too small or task too minimal, they go above and beyond to make sure the guests are taken care of throughout. The food is plentiful, astounding, and different at every single meal. There are so many options it’s literally difficult to make a decision. Of course, you could go the entire program and never actually have to eat a meal. The 24 hour tea room is stocked with all sorts of incredible stuff, not just the typical snack food. And that doesn’t include the daily BBQ’s which feature a multitude of meats, chicken, ribs, etc. Aside from the amazing food, the entertainment is top notch. Ben Shapiro is just about as good as it gets when it comes to put a public speaker. Shlomo Katz was incredible as well and when he played with Moshav, wow The grounds are exquisite, and the adult only pool with daily wait service and full bar (all inclusive and limited to guests of the program) came in very handy on those long YT afternoon days. Each night at dinner there was a different theme, and Ben and his staff seemed to literally put on a full scale broadway-level performance with the various theme-related additions each night.. I could go on and on, but I think the ultimate compliment is the fact that so many of the guests keep coming back, year after year. Why mess with perfection?

Upscale Getaways runs a fabulous Pesach program! The location is great, the facility perfect for families. The programming for kids including babies is the best of any program I have ever been on. Highly recommend families that want first class treatment in a relaxed environment.

From the moment we arrived, we found the setting and food to be outstanding. The location is set in lush surroundings. The food was amazing and endless. There’s no possible way to have ever been hungry. The speakers and entertainment were outstanding as well. Absolutely the BEST Pesach program out there, bar none.

I have been to over 20 Passover programs in North American from Miami to New York, Los Angeles to Whistler. Never have I seen as well-run and thought-out a program as Upscale at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. The food is the best I have ever had at a Pesach retreat. Endless buffets, Kiddushim, afternoon Bar B Que, constant food tastings, etc. At all plated meals there is an optional buffet as well and carving stations. Kids have so many choices and programs and they are run well. Children’s dining room is not treated as an afterthought and the program provides amazing distractions for the kids as well. Imagine arriving at the hotel the first day and finding pony rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, a playground and other attractions to introduce your children or grandchildren to the experience! This is a world-class program and I recommend it highly. Yes, it is expensive but in this case you get what you pay for!!!

We went to many different programs and this one by far is the best. We had zero complaints, warm and friendly. Food was 10/10, entertainment was out of this world. Truly the best program ever. Strongly recommend.

We have been to many programs over the years and honestly nothing compares. Upscale is super high end but they keep the amount of guests to a number that works, which makes a MASSIVE difference! The ballroom can easily hold a couple hundred more people, but at this number (I think they cap at 500 guests) everything flows like magic- no waiting in lines, served instantly- its an actual vacation. At all the other high end programs we have been on (and we have been to virtually all of them) they all had over 1000 people and there is just a lot of negative that comes with so many people at a program, regardless of how nice it is. Tea room was beyond! They have 10 full time chefs doing just tea room- its like its own Pesach program to itself, taken to a level we’ve never seen. Best speakers- Who else has Ben Shapiro, Dennis Prager, Ami Horowitz, Shlomo Katz, Moshav etc… There is simply no program with a lineup like that. Dining experience was insane! Lamb, duck, sea bass, poolside waiter service, smoked meats, charcuterie boards, you get the idea. I could go on an on. If you go to Upscale you won’t be disappointed.

This is simply the best Pesach Program around. It is intimate, with top-quality service throughout. The food was great, the entertainment was top-notch- both inspiring and engaging. The activities and daycare were great. Every aspect of the program was very thought out and well-run. The hotel was amazing. Highly recommend this program!

This program is incredible. Every single detail has been thought out. We had literally zero issues from beginning to end. Ben and his staff are amazing and always accessible throughout. The food could easily pass for chometz. It’s that good. And plentiful. Great crowd, beautiful hotel, and top of the line entertainment. The speakers alone are worth the price. Can’t say enough good things about this program.
