What Should You Pack for a Passover Program
Not much. Passover programs are usually fully stocked in terms of what you would need throughout the days of Passover. Think about other vacations that you went on in your city. There are two options. You can either bring ready-made food from home. Or you can order in, buy catering, or just purchase food from kosher restaurants nearby. On Passover programs, you do not need to bring any food. Programs provide three meals a day, a stocked tearoom in case you’re not fully satisfied, and some hotels usually have in-house restaurants. So, if you’re not happy with the food on a program, you can eat out or shop at a nearby store. The program provides wine and matzah for the seder as well. If you would like something specific or a special kind of matzah, that would be your responsibility. However, most of the time all guests are satisfied food-wise. If you’re concerned about food and that’s your top priority- check out our Facebook group, Passover Program Reviews, where past and new guests review and discuss the main concerns that come with booking a Passover program.
Or for those who aren’t worried about food, Passover programs come with the top-quality beds and pillows as everyone knows. Don’t worry about the mess that comes with it too, housekeeping is usually available each day to spruce up your room making it feel brand new for all ten days. Don’t worry about packing shampoo, conditioner, towels, etc.- the hotel has got you and your family covered with the best products.
Worried your kids might be bored? Be worried that your kids will have too much fun. Programs have entertainment each night with musicians, comedians, DJ disco parties, dance parties, swimming, game rooms, tennis, basketball, and so on. Seems like all the kids are having fun and not the adults. There are activities for adults too, whether it be speakers, paint nights, wine tasting, etc. There is something to do for all age ranges, so you won’t need to pack books, board games, and cards just in case.
The only thing that is a must for packing is clothes. Yom Tov outfits, Chol HaMoed outfits, pajamas, toiletries, and shoes for you, your spouse, and your children. Besides non-essentials that you and your family like to travel with to ensure the most comfortable stay. That should be it.
