The Top 5 Things You Must Do in Florida
A few days ago, we discussed the top five must-try restaurants in Florida. Now we must figure out what you’re going to do when you’re in Florida. With amazing weather and countless activities and landmarks, you’re sure to be occupied all day.
Starting off with Universal Orlando Resort, you knew it was coming. If you’re going to say that you’ve already been to Universal Studios in California and other places, just don’t say it. Universal Orlando Resort, a theme park and entertainment resort, is just different. The two main differences being that Universal Orlando has Wizarding World of Harry Potter, specifically Diagon Alley, while Universal California does not. Universal Orlando is also a resort with several hotels that are run by Universal. Staying at these hotels involves guest benefits such as convenient transportation and early admission. There are countless shows and rides at Universal that going back a second, third, or fourth time is still as entertaining for the whole family. Make sure you pack enough food for the family, snacks, and loads of water. It’s an awesome day trip during mid-winter break and the whole year.
Coming in second is the Miami Seaquarium, the perfect activity for children. Offering animal encounters, swimming with dolphins, and an animal themed motorized ride to entertain yourself with during animal presentations. With marine shows involving dolphins and sea lions and exhibits with manatees, sea turtles, penguins, rays and more. The most exciting being immersing yourself in the water with friendly dolphins and snapping some pictures. Gain that experience without spending the big bucks and flying over to the Bahamas or getting front row seats at SeaWorld. It’s something you will not regret.
The third activity is specific to Florida because of the gorgeous and glistening ocean. The Thriller Miami Speedboat Adventures. Not only will you be basking in the vast ocean alongside breathtaking weather, you’ll also be learning about popular sights in Miami and commentary on celebrity houses. Don’t worry about the age limit, the minimum age required for a speed boating tour is 3+. In 45 minutes, you’ll see why Miami is a major attraction spot for so many people.
Furthermore, you can go shopping! Either visit Bal Harbour Shops, an outdoor luxury lifestyle and fashion mall. With over 100 stores, you can shop till you drop without running out of options. Or if you’re not in the mood of spending incredulous amounts of money, you can window-shop. Cruise the mall and look at each store to see what’s trending or if there is anything new. For more affordable and familiar options, visit The Florida Mall, an indoor shopping center in Orlando.
Lastly, the beaches. I mean obviously, everyone knows. Although you are on vacation and you feel like you have to do an activity each day, you can also relax and do nothing for a few hours. The beaches in Florida are much cleaner than California, with smoother and softer sand. Take a few towels, some packed sandwiches, cold drinks, and just sit by the beach. Do nothing, tan, read a book, or just listen to the sound of the ocean. You deserve it.
