Epic Passover Features an A-List of Lecturers and Entertainers
The epic Passover Getaway in Pine Mountain, Georgia, is going to be something truly spectacular! From the views, nature, luxury resort, Five Star cuisine, stellar children’s program, on-site activities and nearby attractions, it is something unique and awesome on all levels!
What we want to focus on today is the phenomenal line-up of entertainers and lecturers that will grace this program. A beautiful mix of speakers and scholars will be on hand to inspire and elevate the entire 12 day vacation into a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will never be forgotten!
The entertainers that will wow the guests include Jewish music superstars Benny Friedman, Yehuda Green, Shlomi Elishaev, Cantor Yaakov Lemmer and the hilarious comedy of the renowned comedian Elon Gold. Other surprises are being prepared as well and will be unveiled soon!
The scholars and lecturers that will be a part of Passover Getaway 2020, and their short bios, are:
Rabbi Bentzion Shafier, Scholar in Residence, is the founder of TheShmuz.com. Rabbi Shafier was a high school Rebbe for more than 15 years, when the Rosh Ha’Yeshiva of Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim, Rav Henach Leibowitz, ZTL, requested that he create an engaging learning program for working people
Following the Rosh Ha’ Yeshiva’s instructions, Rabbi Shafier founded The Shmuz in 2003. TheShmuz.com, grew rapidly and now each Shmuz is listened to by over 10,000 people. From Yerushlayim to Sydney and from South Africa to South America, TheShmuz brings Torah and Hashkafah to Jews everywhere.
Rabbi Shafier is also the author of the, “The Torah Lifestyle.”, “The Shmuz on the Parsha,” as well as the highly acclaimed, “Stop Surviving Start Living.” He is a father of six and grandfather of five lives in Monsey New York. People across the globe seek out his advice on work, family and personal issues.
Colonel Barall, a US Army officer has developed strategies, plans and war-games at the highest levels of the U.S. National Security Establishment. He will be lecturing about past experiences and many other intriguing topics.
Rabbi Ilan D. Feldman, a popular spiritual leader at Cong. Beth Jacob in Atlanta, author and sought-after lecturer will be gracing our Passover program with his thought-provoking insights on contemporary Jewish topics of interest.
Rabbi Cary A. Friedman is Associate Director of the Law Enforcement Survival Institute (LESI). A hospital, prison, and police chaplain, he began consulting to the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit (BSU) in Quantico, VA in 2000, and contributed to the design of the “Spiritual Survival for Law Enforcement” course for the National Academy.
Rabbi Friedman is the author of eight books, including Marital Intimacy, The Superhero Handbook for Cops, and Wisdom from the Batcave, and numerous articles. He has given trainings at the FBI Academy, the FBI Training Network (FBITN), International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC), and has appeared on The History Channel discussing the spiritual power of the Batman mythology (“Batman Unmasked: The Psychology of the Dark Knight”). Wisdom from the Batcave was the inspiration for the creation of the documentary “Legends of the Knight” (2014)
Karen Barral is Chief Lobbyist in Washington, DC for a Major Women’s Jewish Organization and a seasoned political influencer. Karen is the go-to subject matter expert on Jewish issues in Washington, such as combating anti-Semitism and advocating for Israel.
Rabbi Dr. Zev Eleff is Chief Academic Officer of Hebrew Theological College and Associate Professor of Jewish History at Touro College. An award-winning author and leading commentator of Orthodox Judaism, Dr. Eleff has been hailed as “an exceptionally knowledgeable and talented scholar who is shedding light on American Jewish history in general and Jewish religious traditionalism in particular.”
His most recent book is Authentically Orthodox: A Tradition-Bound Faith in American Life.
Shimmy Feintuch, LCSW CASAC-G is a New York City-based psychotherapist, professor, writer, and international public speaker.
He speaks about issues relevant to community, emotional wellness, and spirituality, and has lectured in exotic locales like Kansas, Shanghai, and Brooklyn.
Charlene Aminoff is a renowned speaker, wife, mother of five, CEO & Founder of @galiscouturewigs and a popular Orthodox Lifestyle Influencer who inspires people around the world.
Charlene will be giving a series of fascinating lectures about her life experiences and other topics as well as doing a special Shlissel Challah ceremony on the Shabbos after Pesach for Passover Getaway guests
Rabbi Meir Kessler is the director of the Jewish Recovery Center in Boca Raton, FL. He founded and runs the the Jewish Recovery Center servicing all Jewish recovering addicts that reside in the area, as well as the thousands who are undergoing treatment in local rehabilitation centers.
Rabbi Kessler serves as a chaplain for the Renaissance Institute in Boca Raton and is part of the treatment planning for their residents. Jewish recovering addicts enjoy a sober and spiritual Shabbat Dinner with the Kessler family, as well a regular social activities.
