Destinations 613 Yossi Zablocki at Honors Haven 2024

5.0/ 5

OK all, now that I am back, I can post my full review of Destinations 13/ Yossi Zablocki Pesach program at Honors Haven. So first, FULL disclosure for those of you who want to know. I am an almost FULLY PAYING guest, and yes, I did work in the day camp program as Morah Music for several activities, and YES I got a slight discount. However, I am writing this as a GUEST and also as a returning guest (this was our second year with Yossi and also first time at Honors haven.) Having been badly burned before, I want to highly recommend this program as truly the place you would want to go (and he was FULLY sold out all YT, even had a waiting list). HOTEL: Honors haven is a beautiful hotel in Ellenville. Stunning view, great shul, tearoom, lobby etc. Dining room was spacious comfortable and we had a great waiter. Our room was lovely too. Walking trail, waterfall (we walked daily!) Food: Plentiful, excellent and delicious. As this was a lesser expensive program than most, I feel that the food was WAY more than we thought it would be(think Dino ribs, steak, carving station at the kiddush, cakes/mousse/ desserts galore, beautiful salads at each meal on table, Wines of your choice provided, unlimited amounts of entree, etc..) It truly exceeded our expectations. Best part-NO buffets except for Kiddushim and Chometz party the last night. All meals were waiter service and enjoyable. Day Camp: Aviva Aviva Weiss Baumser did an incredible job, as usual, and my Morah Music shows for the Mommy and me, the younger boys/younger girls (4 activities in all) was only a small part of her amazing program. The parents were ecstatic and the kids loved the camp. Kudos to Aviva and to the incredible counselors who made Pesach so nice for the kids there. Games/Activities: You are NEVER bored at Yossi’s Programs, not on Yomtov/Shabbos, not on Chol Hamoed. The speakers (Rabbi Lichtenstien, DOv Hikind, and others) were riveting, and the crafts, Comedians, music shows, exercise dance classes, movies etc were unbelievable. MY favorite were the games Barry Fleischmann had (both scheduled and unscheduled) that drew Huge crowds and were TONS of fun. His professionalism, organization and preparedness were surely appreciated by one and all, and his going above and beyond anytime we wanted ‘extra’ games (until 1 am!!) because we had so much fun, was incredible!! Thank you so much Barry, you really made our YT special (and I will be catching up on my sleep this shabbos-well worth it!!;)) Another games person was also fabulous-shout out to Jonathan Dzik, whose games were so much fun, drew a crowd, and were really challenging! THank you as well!! Shows:We LOVED the comedians and all the nightly activities! Thank you Yossi for the wonderful entertainment!! Crowd: TO say that this program had the NICEST crowd is a true understatement. All types, all minyonim, all ages. I was so sad when YT was over, to say goodbye to them all (and if I didnt see you last night, please consider this a personal farewell and you can reach out to me through FB) All told, an exemplary, memorable Pesach all around.. WOuld go back in a heartbeat!!! IYH looking FWD to next year with Destinations 613 and Yossi Zablocki. Thank you for everything!! We LOVED it!

Been here a few times

5.0/ 5

My family and I have been going to this program for a few years now at Honors Haven. The hotel is very nice with stunning mountains views from the dining room. The rooms are fairly large and the suites are also pretty big. Not a 5 star hotel but very nice for a Pesach program. They also have a lake and golf course with a very nice trail that leads to a scenic waterfall. The food is good and the program is fairly decent. They had this program at Hudson Valley which was really a very old hotel in need of significant repairs. I’m glad Yossi Zabloki decided to bring it back to Honors Haven, a much better and nicer hotel in my opinion. Overall, a pretty good choice if you are watching your finances and on a budget.
