We just returned with our family of 16 from Pesach in Plett, hosted by Rabbi Akiva Gilbert in South Africa. If you are looking for a truly wonderful and unique Pesach experience this is it! We always loved the large Pesach hotel programs we attended in the past but were ready to try something different. Pesach in Plett was held in the most gorgeous setting imaginable. We had our own huge family suite including a beautiful deck where we woke to see the African sunrise with our grandchildren. The gorgeous beach was just a very short walk away. Rabbi Gilbert tailor made an itinerary for us for chol hamoed that included an overnight safari experience, Monkey Land, Elephant Experience etc. He arranged all transportation and details and packed delicious meals to take on the road including a barbecue under the stars at a game lodge. We had one communal Seder and one family Seder that we held outdoors. The small nature of the program allowed us to make friends with the other guests who included people from USA, Israel, Belgium and South Africa. It was a pleasure to see the children all playing together. I am so happy and thankful that we found Rabbi Akiva and Pesach in Plett and that we could share this unforgettable experience with our family. Sent from my iPhone
