I was fortunate and privileged to spend Pesach away this year with my family and we wanted to be fairly local so we chose Upscale Legacy in Orange County run by David Becker and Eyal Aviv. It has been awhile since I was on a program (they are pricey) and overall this program gets 5 stars. There were some hiccups, but the program was well done. Here are some highlights: if you are looking for a program that focuses on food this is your program. We were shuttled from one meal to the next and probably had food available 24 hours a day if we wanted to we started with breakfast then on Chag and shabbos kiddish and the lunch and then afternoon snack and then dinner and then entertainment and then more food. During chol hamoed there were bbqs every day. We went from breakfast to tea room to lunch to bbq to tea room to dinner to midnight goodies. It was constant and I mean constant ! There were carving stations with prime rib and lamb shoulder and smoked meats and crispy schnitzel. They had meat at nearly every meal. We had ribs and baby lamb chops and Korean short ribs and sushi. During chol hamoed there was a juicing station with made to order fresh juices which was delicious and bubble waffles with ice cream and fresh made Pesach churros which were delicious. For entertainment they had a fantastic magician and hilarious comedian. They had lectures galore from rabbis and health professionals and while my kids are not little I heard great things about their kids programming. They took the kids to boomers and other places during the week and had them in groups during Chag. Some things to note, while the hotel was more of a business hotel with a small pool the rooms were very spacious. We had a sofa (pull out if we wanted) in our room with a balcony and it was incredibly comfortable for such a long stay. That said - it was not a resort - so the grounds were nothing to write home about. The wait staff was fantastic and attentive and overall I would recommend this program.
