Pesach Packing List
Packing for a 10 day trip can be daunting. You don’t want to over pack and be that person who comes with 3 suitcases per person. I like to keep it light but when you’ve got Yom Tov, Shabbos, beach, swimming and exotic excursions planned you’ve got to pack wisely. It’s akin to preparing your kids’ suitcases for sleepaway camp and you almost wish the program would send out a checklist. (If you are traveling within the USA, Amazon over to the hotel as much as you can.)
Beyond your clothes and other essentials, here are some things to consider:
Children:
*The MMR Vaccine*
Children’s Tylenol
Children’s Motrin
Pesto Bismol
Thermometer
Children’s Benedryl
Noise maker (baby)
Swim Diapers
Water Shoes
Sunscreen*** Pack plenty because the hotel gift shop ones are overpriced
Insect Repellent
Aloe Vera
Hats
Floaty for baby (keep it packaged until arrival)
Goggles
Your Children’s Haggadahs they made in school or any pesach related projects
Small toys to keep the 1-4 year olds busy
Sand toys (you can improvise with plastic cups if you don’t want to pack any)
Baby powder-great hack to take sand off
Cosco car seat is incredibly light to travel through an airport with, use a strap to connect it to your carry on that’s on wheels
Travel compact booster
Lysol wipes if traveling by air
New Kosher for Pesach baby bottles with travel size soap and bottle brush
Small Havdallah set (if your kids are sleeping or it’s a shlep to get to shul it’s nice to have this handy)
Adults:
Check your passports and ID’s to confirm they’re not expired
Hard time falling asleep in a new bed? Melatonin or Benedryl
Noise cancelling headphones for the plane or for those late nights when the crowds are rowdy
Sunscreen-can not stress this enough!
Aloe Vera
Phone charger
Power adapters
Protective case for phone if going on excursions
Empty large ziplock bags
Books
Cash for tipping bar staff (I like to bring a wad of $2 bills. They are more memorable and the staff appreciate them)
Watch-some resorts don’t have clocks in the room
Water shoes
Insect repellent
Necessary medications
Timers (for your lamp if you’re a reader)
Duct tape (You never know what you’ll need it for, maybe to hold an automatic light down in the mini bar, suitcase tear etc.)
Clear data in your phone so you have plenty of space for pictures
