Accommodations: We had Le meridian sea view rooms which were beautiful and spacious. The hotel staff were all great. The outdoor pool was not heated but there was a beautiful indoor pool right next to the outdoor pool. The pool deck and beach(rocky beach not sand) were beautiful and the weather was perfect for sitting outside. The hotel spa had amazing prices with 15 percent discount for program members. Food: The food was delicious and plentiful! Breakfast was an amazing Israeli breakfast with many options (salads, cheese, waffles, omelets, shakshuka, and many more). Lunch and dinner were always meat, however very good. The food always tasted fresh even during the last few days. There was always variety at each meal including fish and vegetarian options. We would have loved a couple of dairy meals other than breakfast. We did bring this up to the director of the program, Yehuda Vered, and he not only made it happen for shalashudis (not the original plan) and said he would take this into consideration for coming years. As for dessert there were two pastries chefs flown in from israel and the dessert was delicious. Always lots of fruit available as well. There was no proper tea room (American style) however there was always water, juice, coffee and tea and some cakes available. Every day there was a “sweet hour” where they brought out lots of cakes, cookies, and chips. The wine selection was not that great and alcohol (cognac and liqueur) was only served during kiddish. The shabbos and yontif kiddish was beautiful! The Vered family was very helpful. They were approachable, accommodating, and very warm- especially Nathalie. Over all this was a great experience and we would absolutely go back. The location may change for the coming year.
Every single component of Vered Holidays’ Pesach programme has been phenomenal; the food (something for everyone, high quality, beautifully presented, on time, so much of it!), the warm atmosphere, the amenities at the hotel (indoor/outdoor pool, seafront location, gym, jacuzzi, spa). Could not recommend this group enough ? P.S. you’ll definitely need a gym on site with the amount of food served ?
Vered Holidays, Pesach 2019, Split, Croatia. Superb, superb, superb! Everything was 5 stars. Room service… Everything! – Hindy A https://www.facebook.com/groups/passoverprogramreviews/permalink/862703184074636/
We had a fabulous Pesach at the leisure time program in Fiuggi, Italy. Beautiful setting, delicious, abundant, but not over-the-top food, wonderful program Rabbi (Rabbi Yossi Fachler of London,) sophisticated outings, good Baal Tfilla (but way too much talking during Tfilla,) would have liked More shiurim. Having done Pesach in all forms; home alone, home with Family, gone to Family, made Pesach In way-out places, israel, I must say that all have advantages. After making Pesach so many times, I know what it involves, and am happy to go away, but I Think that it important to not go away every single year. Pesach is hard work, but an experience that everyone needs to have because there is joy in the mitzva, especially when one can, b”h, put matzah on the table. Pesach programs are very enjoyable, but they are way out of reach to so many of our fellow community members. I am grateful to have had this opportunity.
