Our Complete Passover experience

5.0/ 5

Post Passover thoughts.. What is the ultimate Passover program? With so many options out there how do you choose the ultimate Chag for your family? Combining the home feel during the Chag with a vacation getaway that is my goal.. For the past few decades my family and I traveled the program world and had some amazing but incomplete experiences. My 4 deciding Factors for a ultimate Passover Chag are- The Crowd, Food, Location and a super Host. Choosing to be with Royal for our 5th straight year we truly found a program that the host (Tzvika) loves to take that extra measure and ensure all our needs are met exceeding his scope of the program. Host heard that we love Pickleball and he built a court that became the sport game of the program. Royal food was superb with chefs from all over the planet catering to our diverse taste buds. Pricey wines like Meara wines were a staple.. Location Location Location is the best way to describe Cabo. Not sure why this was our first time to Cabo. Place is blessed with perfect weather. Flight was about 4.5 hrs but def worth the shleping. Guest attending Royal Passover are hand selected by the host and that completes our ultimate experience. 12 nights and 13 days of dreams with friends that are now Family. Thank you Royal.. We love you.

Weather was nice. Restaurants in the hotel were amazing. Great chazzan and choir. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for an amazing yomtov experience

Best family trip ever!

5.0/ 5

We were on Royal Passover’s program in Jamaica in 2018. What I loved most about the program was the atmosphere and ambiance. Everyone was always happy and friendly, a real sense of unity, the setting was completely serene. On a daily basis you would see Jews from all walks of life playing volleyball together. A huge shout out to Judy, their sales person who went above and beyond to find the best room for me in terms of proximity to the ocean. Food was amazing, never had a bad meal, never got sick. The set up was the ultimate…laying on cabanads facing the turquoise waters and a waiter to bring you whatever you wanted. I loved the strategic placement of breakfast outside literally gazing at the beautiful beach.

Amazing pesach with the Royal Passover

5.0/ 5

We have been with with the Berg family and Royal Passover program for a few years and have only amazing things to report. The food is always top quality and available at any time. The lectures and entertainment were amazing. The hotels have been superb with outstanding service. One year in Jamaica my son got dehydrated and without me asking two of the hotel employees came to our room with fresh coconuts for him to drink. They were friendly and thoughtful and it made our vacation so enjoyable. We will definitely be going back again and again with family and friends.

Not as expected

3.0/ 5

We were all really looking forward to this program and unfortunately program was unprofessional and disorganized and did not fill our expectations.. Hotel had been closed since hurricane maria and opened up unprepared, disorganized and not ready for such an important chag for a large group of 900 people. Food was good on some days and repetitive on others . During breakfast birds came non stop coming to eat off the buffet and tables no proper supervision . Lots of confusion during the seder nights. No menu, Servers were unprepared and most didn’t speak English. Hotel had many problems including pluming and housekeeping issues and lack of supplies. Tea room was a joke candy room was awful and messy with repetitive snacks .. We thought this program would be upscale it was not. The nightly acts were top notch . The property was gorgeous even though it was partially unfinished. The beach was a major disappointment had beds of grass and pebbles. The daily trips were great. Overall the weather was great ,to many people and a lack of organization. We will not be going back..

Many wonderful components

4.0/ 5

Royal Passover aims to deliver. They pick you up and take you to the resort and serve you a drink while you wait to check in. The hotel is stunning. It was incredibly brave to run a passover program in a hotel that was not yet open. The staff had arrived the day before us so they knew almost nothing about the resort and most of them didn’t know if they would have a job when it reopened after we left. I thought the food was amazing. The chefs came from Israel and we were pretty pleased. It didn’t make our meat and potato family members quite as pleased and they had not thought at all about vegetarian meals for the seder or yom tov meals. The program featured zumba and movement class. These were great except that the yoga/movement class was taught on marble and there were no yoga mats! (Details like these seemed to get lost). There were great excursions-we went kayaking and to the rain forest and they didn’t charge an extra fee! The program director, Tali Rahmini and her family were warm and kind and helpful and had a great presence. The first few days there were lots of things not so well sorted out (maps of the dining room weren’t set up properly and there weren’t enough wait staff and people didn’t all have tables set for seder). The first night there was a buffet outside and it wasn’t set up for the number of people and it wasn’t well lit, so it was very hard to see what you were eating. Things like this improved over the week. The entertainment was amazing. Meir Kay was a lot of fun and Shwekey and Gad Elbaz and Eli Levin were terrific. The tefillot were beautiful and the minyanim had singing and nice layning and joyful hallel. The chazan balanced nicely singing with some chazanut. The people in the program were warm and spanned a gamut of Chabad, Syrians, Persians, MO and everyone seemed to get a long well. The program was truly enhanced by the nightly kumsitz in the lobby and also lots of singing in the dining room. It had a lot of ruchniyot. There was a nice attention to detail to make sure there were gorgeous table cloths for the seder and flowers at the tables and throughout the hotel.

Very nice program, great peaple

This was our second year with this program and we loved it. The hotel was gorgeous and everything was brand new. Program staff are exceptionally nice and always ready to help and serve, there was tons of food all the time and it was amazing, the best part was the nightly kumzits eith Eli Levin and the delicious desserts. And the pool was awsome. All in all we are looking forward to next year.

Very good marketing did not live up to it

Transportation 8 Check in 8 Hotel and property 8 Accommodation & rooms 8 Hotel service 7 Program upper management hospitality and availability to guests 6 Breakfast 6 cafeteria quality buffet very repetitive limited vegetarian options Lunch BBQ 7 very limited vegetarian options run by unprofessional staff Daily dinners 7 buffet style very repetitive typically leftovers not cooked properly not seasoned properly typically not right temp. Many carving stations limited vegetarian options. First night BBQ 5 poor planning ambiance was nice food not cooked, very disorganized, long waits to get food, vegetarian options were good that night but you could not see what was being offered too dark. Seders 8 Desserts 9 very good gourmet quality not repetitive abundance Alcohol 8 abundance Nightly entertainment 9 very good Tea room 6 limited hours, small room not pleasant, drop the ball on this, found ourselves hungry late night with limited options. Mainly sweets MC Meir Kay 9 Nightly late night singer and cigar event 8 Daily planned hotel activities 5 …..days seemed very repetitive at times boring Royal Passover spends a lot of money on marketing. They make it look very high end. The resort lived up to it. The quality of the food was not on par with other high end programs that I have been to. They did not have quality control in place when it came to service, hospitality, and food quality. They had an abundance of food, but they did not do a good job to make sure that the food was cooked properly, seasoned properly, served at the right temp, and available to guests without an anxiety to get the food. It also seemed that there were VIP guests that got special treatment over others. Not sure how one becomes a VIP…

Epic week

5.0/ 5

I read the other two posts and am laughing. The person who complained about the tzniyut….well what exactly did you think you were getting when you saw that the program was NO separate swimming? Our group never thought it would be anything other than exactly what we signed up for! BEST CROWD EVER!!! AM YISRAEL CHAI! EPIC WEEK! And to the angry kid hating review, it was a FAMILY Passover program and we LOVED all the talent at talent night! Program got off to a rocky start because the hotel opened for Passover only but Mr, Tzvi somehow pulled it together, hired more staff and Rocked Da house!! What a fun filled vacation, our huge group all loved!

Would be an ok program, but not great servicr

3.0/ 5

Was really looking forward to this program, but was an expensive letdown. The hotel is nice, but very understaffed. We got there and our room was not made up or clean. Took hours to figure out a new room. The room cleaning staff is terrible. When they do show up, they have yet to actually wash anything. They do no replenish towels. Or clean. Food wise, seders were a disaster. Again, we cringe Everytime we have waiter service…. We basically get ignored. Food is plentiful, although not always tasty. The entertainment has been mediocre. One night they wasted on a “family talent show”. We left after 10 minutes as it was just little kids trying to sing. Very poorly run.
