Rabbi Dr. Abraham Twerski a world-renowned psychiatrist and author. Dr. Twerski is emeritus medical director of the Gateway Rehabilitation Center in Pittsburg, USA. He is the author of more than 60 books, and lectures extensively on the topics of chemical dependency, stress, self-esteem and spirituality. Rav Twerski is an American Hasidic Rabbi, a scion of the Chernobyl Hasidic dynasty that traces its ancestry to the Baal Shem Tov, founder of the Chassidic movement. In his rabbinic career Twerski is a prolific writer of Jewish books and of shiurim and Torah-themed lectures.
Rabbi Shaya Karlinsky is the co-founder and dean of both Shapell’s/Darche Noam and our sister seminary for women, Midreshet Rachel v’Chaya. His reputation as an expert educator is a reflection of both his academic training and his motivational personality. Through his direct approach of questioning students and forcing them to question themselves, he has succeeded in awakening inquiring minds for Torah study throughout the years.
Rabbi Reuven Chaim Klein is the author of God versus Gods: Judaism in the Age of Idolatry (Mosaica Press, 2018). Mosaica Press published his first book, Lashon HaKodesh: History, Holiness, & Hebrew, in 2014, and it became an instant classic. He is a native of Valley Village, CA and graduated Emek Hebrew Academy and Yeshiva Gedolah of Los Angeles, before going to study at the famed Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem and in Beth Medrash Govoha of America in Lakewood, NJ.
