How it all began
Eastern Europe is abundant with Jewish cemeteries, Tzadikim graves and mass
graves of those that perished in the Holocaust. Naturally, these sites are supposed to be neglected due to the ravages of time, covered with green foliage at best, or thorn and debris, in the common case. Thus, these places were found by Rabbi Yisroel Meir Gabay Shlita, abandoned, shattered and pain provoking. You will see them differently. Preserved, renovated and inviting to engage in discussion. Rabbi Yisroel Meir Gabay Shlita began to visit many Tzadikim graves throughout the country.
With a deep sense of mission, he began to investigate and search for unknown graves
in the country and afterward in the world. Many difficulties piled in his way. Communist Ukraine, whose locked gates made him run the risk of smuggling through the border, hostile eastern countries that forced him to appear in various disguises, and several other exemplary stories that are tied to him. The awful situation in which he discovered the graves of Eastern Europe pained his heart and he began to devote himself entirely to the renovation and preservation of the holy places, for the benefit of the coming and the salvation of the souls of the saints that lie there. He established the ‘Ohalei Tzadikim’ association, whose entire activity focuses on glorifying the deceased by renovating and graves and making them accessible for the welfare of worshipers. As an integral part of this activity, the need for accommodation and hospitality services arose for the large public that visited the holy places. Thus, various hostels were established, which provided accommodation and food for .visitors
As part of the expansion and enhancement of the service, the Holiness Hotel was established in the town of Medzhybizh, providing a different level of hospitality experience alongside the atmosphere of sacredness in the place and helping to cover the many expenses of the Ohalei Tzadikim association. Within walking distance on the path towards the past, you will reach the glorified grave of the Hassidut founder, the holy Baal Shem Tov. A few minutes away, the ancient synagogue stands on which the Baal Shem Tov said: “This synagogue is aimed at the Temple of Ma’ale”. Near it, you will find the synagogue of the lover Israel from Opatow. All that remains is to pray,
to be astonished by the atmosphere and transcend.

The Lover of Israel from Opatow Synagogue
- As he sat on the rabbinate’s seat in Medzhybizh, the lover of Israel from Opatpw prayed at ‘Da’am Rabines Kleisel’, a synagogue neartheBaalShemTov’s BeitMidrash.After the town of Medzhybizh was destroyed in the days of horrors, the synagogue, still standing, became a firehouse. The Ohalei Tzadikim association redeemed the place, and with the help and generosity of people, raised funding for the renovation and restoration of the holy place. In the synagogue, you will find a rich library and a quiet and restful study place for the benefit of hotel guests.

The Baal Shem Tov Fountain – The magnificent Mikveh Tahara in Medzhybizh’s navel, built on one of the Baal Shem Tov’s exciting miracle stories. The spring of unique water for immersion has not been here since the six days of Genesis. His first spring began on one of the days when the Baal Shem Tov went out to the fields. When the sun was setting,  the Baal Shem Tov noticed there are is water nearby to wash his hands before the prayer. The sun was about to set, and cleansing waters were nowhere to be found. The Baal Shem Tov rattled his cane on the ground, and with tears pleaded with the Almighty to pour water before him so he would not pass on the words of Shulchan Aruch. Suddenly, a gentle fickle sound was heard and from the ground beneath him, arose a spring of living water! These waters, created by the power of the Baal Shem Tov’s prayer, are adorned with wonderful stories, drawing Jews in need of salvation from all over the world.  The Ancient Beit Midrash of the Baal Shem Tov – The synagogue that the Baal Shem Tov prayed in, which was destroyed during the Holocaust and rebuilt by the Ohalei Tzadikim association. Years after the Baal Shem Tov began spreading Hasidic teachings, many rabbinical positions were offered to him. One of them was in the town of Medzhybizh. The Baal Shem Tov debated a lot, and finally,s the decision was made and he established his seat in Medzhybizh. Many stories are accepted by the Baal Shem Tov’s students about this decision, one of which is the following story: In Medzhybizh rabbinate, served a great Jew, who even established a great and magnificent synagogue. The residents of the town began praying in the new Beit Midrash, while the old one was abandoned. Not long after, the rabbi became ill, his relatives turned to the Baal Shem Tov for salvation. The Baal Shem Tov arrived at the Jew’s house ordered him to leave the rabbinate so that he could heal. Asserting that the ancient synagogue in Medzhybizh claimed its insult to the heavens. After that, the Baal Shem Tov settled in the town and determined his place of worship  to be the ancient synagogue, noting that this synagogue was aimed at the Temple in the heavens. The ancient synagogue was destroyed during the Holocaust and inaugurated in 5770 after it was renovated and reproduced in exact copy by the Ohalei Tzadikim association.
